Digital Asset Reports
The Digital Asset reports in the Taxbit Dashboard help you monitor inventory health and investigate calculation inputs for digital assets across your accounts. These reports are tailored to digital asset clients and live alongside other Dashboard reports in the Reports tab.
The Digital Asset reports include the following:
- Negative Asset Balance
- Ending Inventory
- User-Entered Basis Information
For more information on the other reports available, please refer to this guide: Reports Page - Overview
Negative Asset Balance
Identifies the first instance where an asset’s inventory balance goes below zero for each asset and account, helping you quickly locate data issues that require remediation. The report flags the first transaction that caused the balance for an asset and account to become negative. Subsequent occurrences for that same asset/account are not listed, by design.
Use this report to pinpoint accounts and assets that require further review before form generation or during periodic data QA.

Ending Inventory
Provides a snapshot view of holdings across all accounts, allowing you to review ending inventory as of a specific date in one export. A consolidated snapshot of each asset’s ending inventory by account, giving you a quick way to review balances across your entire population.
Use this report to confirm that asset balances align with your source systems and internal records. The report is designed for summary‑level inventory; it does not include lot‑level breakouts.

User Entered Basis Information
Provides a list of all recorded user‑entered cost basis entries across your organization, scoped by account and transaction, so you can review what’s been manually provided and where it applies.
Use this report to confirm which transfer‑in transactions have been updated with user-provided basis information and confirm it aligns with expectations of what was provided to Taxbit.
