Q: What is Taxbit’s Digital Platform Seller Interview?

Taxbit’s DPS Interview was designed to assist Digital Platform Operators working to satisfy their MRDP reporting requirements with the collection of relevant information from Reportable Sellers on their platform.

Currently, there is no prescribed manner of collecting the relevant information or required documentation. The rules simply indicate that platforms will need to collect this tax residency information by the end of each reporting year. As a result, our solution simply collects the information, and stores it digitally so that it can be retrieved, and leveraged for any downstream XML generation processes

 

Q: What information is collected from the customer via the interview?

The information collected by the DPS interview includes, but is not limited to:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Place of birth
  • Addresses
  • Tax residencies, and tax identification numbers
  • VAT identification number
  • Business registration number

 

Q: Where can I review the information collected from the end customer?

All information collected via the DPS interview is made available via the Taxbit Dashboard.
